So you have bought a puppy, and within a short time you have a puddle on the carpet. Housetraining can be started immediately you get your pup home, using dog obedience training techniques, because it is really never too early to start.

Training your dog is a very rewarding experience for dog and owner. Start with these 3 easy training tips and dog obedience should begin to see the great results of your efforts!

1. Always patient with his dog training patience. Remember, you work with a dog and it’s time for me to understand some of the commands shown are becoming more frequent. If you repeat that, regardless of training, often, your dog begins to learn fast enough. Apart from training and obedience of your dog, the quicker return to what is taught.

2. He also completed his training with a positive praise. Never scold your dog or your dog strike during a training session. Your dog will relate a negative experience, his training and was able to delay or block any of his obedience training. A positive so your dog is good is always better than the negative reaction to what your dog is ok. Remember that your dog looks at you, so do not see it.

What is the cost of dog training/obedience?

I have 2 German Shepherds. 1 mail 1yr. 1 female 9 months. I want to adopt another male German Shepherd that is 21/2 yrs. What is the average cost of training do you think?

My dog is part jap. chin so its expected that they will be a bitting dog but its also a pomeranian girl dog and normally poms don’t bite that much. Please help me!!!!!

Similar to human babies, puppies should not be left alone unsupervised. Just like babies, puppies are not fully aware of what is the expected protocol and might make mistakes. Do ensure that there is somebody who can be with the puppy to make sure he is monitored. This lessens the frequency of mistakes committed. Time and patience is a natural part of the learning curve. A puppy is not seen to be house-trained until he manages to avoid defecating in the house for at least 4 weeks. Bear in mind that it might take slightly longer if you are training older dogs.

Leash training puppies is one of the first thing we need to teach our young pets. Our job is to teach our puppy what is acceptable behavior on a leash and what is not acceptable. With most puppies can be trained in a couple weeks. If it takes your dog longer, don’t worry, it will be worth it in the long run.

Leash training puppies begin with getting your puppy familiar with a collar. A nice leather collar is what I use on all my dogs, even with young puppies I am training. Put the collar on your puppy when you are playing. This will be a distraction from the collar but they will still try to scratch at it and try to remove it. Why they are doing this do not remove it, do not take it off. If you do not plan on leaving it on them , then remove it after they have forgotten about it. Then you can remove.

So I want my dog (siberian husky/alaskan malamute cross) to be in a dog sport and I was thinking agility. But she is 5 years old and so is it too late to start her on that?

What might be other dogsport opportunities for her? I know that there’s dog sledding but we don’t have very much snow where I live, nor the materials at our house/area.

There is general consensus among animal psychologists and other professionals in the field of dog obedience training that positive reinforcement training is the best way to train your dog.  Positive reinforcement training is all about providing rewards for good dog behavior.  When rewards are consistent over a long period of time dog training will be accomplished.
