What is your option on clicker training, traditional dog training, and their methods? What methods do you use to train your dog?

So my dog is 5 years old and is a German Shepard mix. Most of his life he has only occasionally gone on walks and I regret never taking him on walks but before you accuse me of being a bad owner it was because I was young and couldn’t handle the dog when we first got him (sorry I had to say that). I am so sad that I never got in enough walks but within the last 4-5 months me and my friend have been walking him and I know he’s in the habit of tugging on leashes (not as bad as he used to) and getting a bit reactive around other dogs (never biting or attacking). I’m patient and I know it’ll take some time for him to be behaved but if you have any tips for training I would be grateful!

he is a maltese dog about a little more than a year old.
some one told me that when ever he barks to call him and give him a treat, but that’s more of a compensation for barking to me. i know that that’s his job to bark at strangers but is just too much.

I have a 4 month old chihuahua and he is giving me the hardest time. One week he’ll be accident free and the next he thinks the world is his toilet. Help!!
He is currently pee pad trained. Well he’s supposed to be anyway. He just LOVES the bathroom floor though. He also has problems when we visit people or come back from a trip remembering where to go.

If this helps, he is 3 years old and comes from monicas doggie rescue 2 years ago. he is a silky x maltese and his name is Bobby.

I have a border collie that I am starting to compete in agility, and she is very fast. The only problem is she jumps really fast and flat. Does anyone have training tips on how to get a more rounded jump from her. Thanks in advance!

I am thinking about holding training for kids and their family dogs, teaching the children how to train and work with their dog. We would cover things like basic commands such as sit, and fun tricks and games too. Is this something you would enroll you child in?

If so, how long should each class be?
How many weeks should the classes run?
How much should the classes cost?
What would be your concerns?
Any ideas or suggestions?

He is a golden retriever and about 18 mos. old. We have had him for 2 months. He is not really treat motivated and only sometimes toy motivated (and only throwing toys, such as tennis balls). We are taking an obedience training class and he is just not interested!!!

this wed. i’ve enrolled my little dumped pit mix (10 mths) in behavioral training/obedience in hopes of having more luck getting her into a pit rescue. i know the trainer is going to use the clicker technique which i’ve never used, so i’m excited to learn this.
and i’m wondering if i can use it to teach my 8 yr old ridgeback mix.
Rocky will do as he’s told until you stop looking at him. it’s very frustrating. we rescued him from a dog fighting group about 4 yrs ago and we’ve been working on basic obedience everyday. but once he’s focused on something, he obsesses about it.
can i use clicker training on Rocky?
for Hopes behavioral training my trainer wants to use Rocky in some of her classes, so i’d like for him to listen better before he gets included with Hope.

and i don’t believe in that bunk about not able to teach an old dog new tricks.
