Your neighbors have just gotten themselves a pet dog. It is cute and adorable but it is also barking excessively throughout the day and into the night. How can you stop your neighbors’ dogs from barking? Here’s a foolproof method – use an anti-barking device.

It is natural for dogs to bark and they bark for various reasons such as to seek attention, warn of danger, unhappy, lonely, scared or even to bark off excess energy. Depending on the situation, different methods can be applied to tackle the cause. However, if a dog barks excessively, then the most effective solution is to use an anti-barking device that emit ultrasound to train the dogs to stop barking. As these frequencies can only be heard by dogs and not humans, its use can remain discreet with your neighbors!

Many animals such as dogs, cats, dolphins, bats and mice have an upper hearing frequency limit that is greater than that of the human ear and thus these animals can hear ultrasound. When the anti-barking device detects barking, it immediately sends out a high-pitched sound to irritate the dog and discourage it from barking. Such frequencies are only meant to irritate the dog and would not hinder the dog’s barking out of instinct such as at an intruder or harm the dog’s hearing. There are many types of anti-barking devices and out of these, devices that emit ultrasonic frequencies are considered the most humane and effective. Another beauty of this technology is that it can handle multiple dogs at the same time! After a while, the dogs will associate their barking with the irritating frequencies and learn to bark less.

These devices are very popular among dog trainers as well as home owners who need to train their neighbors’ dogs. Small in size, such devices can be cleverly disguised in a bird house or hanging plant – virtually anywhere without you having to ask permission from your neighbors! There are two types for you to choose from: automated ones or manual ones. The automated design offers much more convenience as once the device is switched “on”, detection of barking and emission of ultrasound is automated. It saves you the hassle of stopping your work to look for the remote control.

While you are not able to control how your neighbors train their dogs, you can still choose a bark free life. Now that you know how to stop your neighbors’ dogs from barking, you can enjoy peaceful sleep and the beautiful harmony of birds chirping in the morning.

Teaching and Training The Puppy Dog Pet. Information About Dog Training versus Puppy Training ! Many people are of the opinion that a puppy cannot be trained. However, in practice, it is the best stage that you can train a dog properly. Training a puppy is quite similar to training a dog. Here is some information about puppy training versus dog training.

Getting home a puppy is one of the greatest moment that a pet lover could ever have. Imagine, cuddling the cute and innocent looking puppy. Your pup’s loving appearance aside, you need to train him properly and follow proper dog care tips, so that he obeys your commands. Anyways, the overall behavior of a dog more or less depends upon the training that has been given in the pup stage. Every dog owner wishes their dog to be healthy, well-behaved and an obedient pet. Let’s take a look in brief about the difference between puppy training and dog training.

Puppy Training vs. Dog Training

Whether you are training a puppy or a dog, the basic dog training tips remain the same. It is true that some dog types are aggressive and need special handling. Whatever be the nature of the pet, the owner should train the puppy/dog, lovingly and regularly. This way, you can build that special bond with your pet dog. Being harsh to your pet will worsen the scenario. Then you will require a professional trainer to change your dog’s behavior.

A puppy, in comparison to a well-grown dog, learns quickly and obeys the trainer. There are certain puppy training tips that will help you groom your puppy well. For example, in the first two weeks after birth, you can teach your pup about simple association with the members of the family. In the next weeks, you can train the pup to socialize with other pets and people. In case of full grown-dogs, he will be obedient and behave well, as long as you appreciate and handle him carefully.

Most dog training tips like socialization, crate training and house training are conducted in the pup stage. While house training your puppy, make sure to teach good behaviors like fixed meal timings and more importantly, proper place and time for defecation. When the dog grows up, the only thing that you have to take care is to maintain that comfort level you share with your pet. This way, training becomes easier and the dog will follow your commands.

While training your puppy on leash, make sure that the leash is loose; otherwise, it will hurt the pup and make him uncomfortable. It’s quite possible, the next time you try to put him on leash, he is likely to refuse. The same thing applies with your dog; a tight leash is not advisable or else the dog will pull and start misbehaving.

Training, either a puppy or a dog, is all about communication. The trainer needs to communicate with the dog properly and teach him to learn good behaviors. It is also the duty of the trainer or handler to understand the dog and the message that he wants to convey. Then only, training a puppy or a dog will be rewarding and successful.

While you are with the puppy or dog, there might be situations when he might misbehave like biting, whining and barking. In such a scenario, do not shout at him, instead change your conduct and let the dog understand that you do not like his behavior. If the dog obeys your command, you can reward him by giving your dog’s favorite pet food or toy.

If you have a deep interest in dogs, then you can make a career in dog training. However, as a dog trainer, one needs to be very patient and should have loving and caring nature. In order to gain knowledge about the profession, there are several schools that offer dog training courses.

Dogs are the most popular pets in the world, mainly because of their obedient nature and ability to learn. Well! Teaching and training the pet is the responsibility of the dog owner. Train your puppy or dog with lots of love and care, then you will find the best companion in your pet.For professional dog trainer and behaviorist Resources,Get full access to Doggy Dan’s Online Dog TrainerSign up for free email dog courseJoin hundreds of happy dog owners all over the world who have used Doggy Dan’s Online Dog Trainer video systems to solve their dog’s problems – often in just minutes, without force, fear, sprays, electric collars or shouting…Visit: http://onlinedogtrainers.blogspot.com/

It can be overwhelming to think of all the things you need to teach your puppy. On a day where he doesn’t want to seem to listen to a thing you say, you wonder if he will ever get it. Your puppy will learn what you are telling him, but it depends mainly on how you teach him.

You can learn the secrets to dog training. It can be for housebreaking or teaching proper behavior with other dogs or many other things your dog will have to learn. It will take months to teach your puppy everything you need it to know to be well-behaved dog.

The Secrets to Dog Training from dog expert Daniel Stevens will guide you on teaching your puppy. There are many books and articles that you can read to tell you about the different ways to train your dog. This book will be your best resource on dog training. It will show you the techniques that professional dog trainers use.

You will learn what to do when your dog is aggressive or fights with other dogs. The book will tell you what to do if your dog is pulling on the leash when you go for a walk. You will be able to teach it not to jump on you or guests.

You can read about how to care for your dog with different illnesses. You will know what to do when exercising your dog in the heat or how to deal with fleas. If you have a problem with your dog tearing up your stuff, you can find out how to deal with the issue in this book.

A dog owner has to be the leader of their pets, whether it is one dog or more than one. A strong leader is one that your dog will listen to and obey. You have to be consistent with your training for your dog to be able to learn what you want.

One of the tips you will find in the book is about not telling your dog to come to you when he has done something wrong. If he gets in trouble every time you command him to come, he will associate the word with a negative consequence. Sooner or later, he will ignore you or run the other way when you call him to come.

The alternative is to tell him to sit or stay and then move him away from what he was doing. It can be digging in the yard or barking, but you should go to him to discipline him instead of calling him to you.

More tips like this will give you direction on how to train your dog to act in a way that is pleasant to be around. If you maintain consistent discipline and training, you will end up with a manageable dog that follows your every command. Your pet will be a welcome guest wherever he goes and you will be asked by everyone how you have such an excellent dog.

Article by Allaric Saltzman

Many of us would love to have dogs as pets. Selecting a dog is a tedious and time consuming affair and at times the whole family is involved. After all it would be a part of the family and the time spent in identifying the right dog would be justified. But than is that enough? Not at all since the dog will need some training to gel with the family. The family would want the dog to be obedient and respond to the whims and fancies of the family. This is where the role of a dog collar comes in to play. A dog collar as the name suggests is a collar worn round the dogs neck and could be remotely controlled. Signals would be sent to him and depending on the training imparted to him, he would respond. Fundamentally dog training is all about communication. A dog trainer would simply want the dog to respond to his signals so that his behavior is just right.

It is a fact that dogs are an intelligent breed of animal and can be easily trained. Regardless of the purpose of training, it is widely accepted that a dog collar can give us a better behavior. There are times when a dog would act stubborn and will just not listen to your commands and we all know how frustrating it can be. We all know how embarrassing it is when your dog would just bark at your visitors who happen to be your near and dear ones. There are various types of dog collars that are available in the market and one can make a choice depending on the type of dog he possesses. But than having many choices makes it difficult to select the right collar for your dog. It’s therefore paramount that you opt for the right collar for your dog. For example if the dog is used for hunting expeditions he would need to be trained for a tracking collar device controlled by a remote. Likewise a domesticated dog would need an anti-bark dog device by which his masters could control him. Most of them are effective and serve the purpose. Some vendors would give you the option to return the collar within 30 days and the money would be refunded if at all the collar would not serve the purpose.

However not everybody approves the use of a collar since it could be misused. There are some collars through which shocks of various intensities are released and totally under the control of the trainer. The emotional behavior of a dog is very important consideration during training and if it is not understood by the trainer, the chances of increasing the intensity of the shock stimulant would only create more harm. Some trainers could also use it as a deterrent to punish the dog in some cases and therefore many animal right organizations have pleaded for their ban. They simply suggest that they use more humane ways like rewarding the dog with his favorite food during his training.

As part of dog training classes, your pet will study the way to behave in a way that ensures a good human-dog relationship. Animals cannot study by them selves, they need to be provided instructions as well as trained the way to perform tasks, but you’ll need persistence, experience and assistance with this. In the past, dogs were educated to hunt birds and mammals, discover rodents, do the job with firemen and the like. Today, we mainly need to train these to live about people. This seems paradoxical but it is the bare reality.

Besides regular obedience training that is considered program training, lots of behavioral problems are corrected through dog training classes: excessive barking, submission peeing, dog-to-dog aggression, biting, mouthing, chewing, meals aggression, running away, whining and so forth. In the event you train the dog, you will no longer have problems getting out of the house and enjoying a warm afternoon within the recreation area. Nevertheless, based on the uniqueness of one’s human-dog behavior, several steps may be needed to get there.

With the increasing popularity of the ‘Dog Whisperer’ show, more and more individuals open up to positive behavioral training which entails an understanding of the dog’s mind frame, needs, body language and world. This implies that not only the dog as such but the masters too ought to become involved in dog training classes as a way to make the relationship work. People come up with errors and dogs pay the price. Sounds unfair but this happens all the time in the world. Your dog get stressed by some specific element, they grow insecure making your life a residing hell.

The way to deal with that? So as for your dog to alter, you have to repair a few problems as well. As a result, dog training lessons ought to start with the master, and an understanding of the co-habitation situations. By doing this you’ll be able not only in making the dog follow your instructions but you’ll also make the proper family environment for everyone to feel secure, convenient and adored. Professional assistance is usually necessary for dog owners to attain great outcomes.

That is why you should attend dog training classes that are organized by licensed, extremely skilled instructors which will educate you as well as the dog about the ‘key’ of growing a good human-dog relationship. With this point of view, a dog is a big obligation that you ought to be aware of when adopting or purchasing a pet. Fail to see or acknowledge it and you’ll have lots of challenges to cope with.

Why do dogs bark?

Breed – some dogs were bred to bark such as hounds and dogs used as guards

Frustration – energy not burned by appropriate exercise can manifest itself in barking

Emotional need – boredom, anxiety, excitement

Attention – barking will get them attention – whether it is good or bad

Noise – dogs, people, thunder, cars, horns, doorbells, fireworks etc….

Physical need – hungry, needs to eliminate

Barking can be one of the most difficult behaviors to modify. It is a self rewarding activity meaning the act of barking is its own reward in many instances. Barking is also an normal and innate behavior, meaning barking is in a dog’s genetic makeup. A basic foundation of obedience training is a must! Excessive barking, really is not the problem, it is a symptom. To cure the symptom, we must find out why he is barking to decrease the occurance and teach him to stop barking when you say.

Leaving your dog in the back yard while you are away can lead to boredom, excited or anxious barking. Excessive barking outdoors may lead to lawsuits. It may be best to leave your dog inside or in a crate if necessary to prevent the annoyance to your neighbors. If your dog is barking in the back yard, try leaving then sneaking back to a spot where you can watch your dog without him knowing you are there and observe when he is barking. Is he barking at something he sees or hears or is he barking just for the sake of barking? If you see that he is barking AT something, the first thing to do is try to prevent the dog from seeing or hearing the things that are triggering his barking. If he is barking for the sake of barking, that is something entirely different.

Is he bored? Make sure he has plenty of toys that you can rotate on a daily basis. Chew toys that can be stuffed with a yummy filling then frozen can keep your dog busy. Hiding different toys around the back yard or in the house can also keep him busy looking for the next toy (this is not recommended for dogs that are destructive). Interactive toys that make noise, have food stuffed in them or can be pushed around for treats to fall out of are all great ways to keep him busy.

Dogs are highly social animals; they need adequate exercise, stimulation and attention for them to lead a balanced life. When they don’t get the exercise, stimulation and attention, they become frustrated and that frustration will manifest into unacceptable behaviors such as excessive barking, digging, destructive chewing etc…

Do not scold or comfort your dog when he is barking as this will either have no effect or encourage this behavior. Wait until there is a lull in the barking and then praise your dog for being quiet.

Socializing your pet to new experiences is important. Expose him to new people, sights and sounds and praise and reward when he is quiet. This needs to be done often and repeated throughout his life.

If your dog is barking in his crate, it is very important not to talk to him, yell at him or give him any attention what so ever until he has stopped barking. Timing is critical; the only time he is allowed out of his crate is when he is being quiet. Keeping your dog on a feeding schedule and knowing approximately when your dog needs to go potty will help you determine if he is barking because he needs to potty or because he just wants out or wants your attention.

If your dog is inside and barking at noises outside, leaving the television or radio on at a medium level can help take his mind off the sudden noises that happen outside. If he is barking at things he sees, try leaving the blinds closed or blocking off the area that gives him a view to the outside world.

To stop your dog from barking excessively, teach the “quiet” cue (you can name it anything you want to such as “shh”, “enough”, “thank you”). This is done in stages:

Stage 1 – Teaching your dog that “Quiet” equals yummy things.

When your dog is NOT barking, say “quiet” along with a hand signal such as putting your finger to your lips, or you can choose your own command and hand signal and give your dog a high value treat. Repeat this as often as you can until when you are in another room and you say quiet he comes running to you knowing he will get a treat; and until you can just give the hand signal and he gets excited knowing he is getting a treat.

Stage 2 – Teaching your dog what “Quiet” or “Shh” means.

Now that your pup associates the sound with yummy things, wait until he is barking and say “quiet” along with using your hand signal and then just wait. Do not repeat the cue. The instant your pup stops barking, say “good quiet” and give the yummy treat. Do this until as soon as you say “quiet” or give the hand signal, he stops barking.

Stage 3 – Expecting a longer silence.

Once he understands that when you say quiet, he has to stop barking, you start to delay giving the treat. Slowly increase the amount of time your pup has to be quiet before getting the treat. At first it should be just a couple of seconds, and then slowly add a couple of seconds at a time until when you say quiet, he stays quiet. You may need to distract him once he has stopped barking by leading him to another area, doing some obedience practice with him or play a game with him.
