Barking for dogs is like shouting for people. It communicates a wide range of feelings and circumstances to others. But with a dog, it can easily lead to nuisance barking. Using some of these barking dog training ideas may help to keep your family pet liked by your neighbors.
Of course, we appreciate when our dog warns us of potential danger by barking. It is actually part of its nature to protect its family. And if its human family has loved it and trained it well, this type of barking only occurs when needed. It is really the other kinds of barking that is unpleasant.

Dear Dogtra::
Several months ago we ordered a YS 500 bark collar from RFG Distributing for our client Ray Hernandez. He says it no longer functions and needs repair.
RFG said to call them if there was any problem and they could provide you the original order number.

HELP!!! My dog has been sleeping in her crate for awhile now in the garage, she’s now getting too big for her crate and now is ready to be outside and sleep in the house(dogloo) outside i have provided for her, but she hates being outside by herself she’ll whine and scratch and jump up at the window for one of us to open the door and sometimes other dogs barking will frighten her. I need training advice in making her stay outside and knowing to go in her house/bed whenever she wants to

We have a 3 year old french bulldog who loses her mind (jumping, barking, running..) when another dog walks past the house or she sees one on tv. Not only is it annoying and embarrassing but we’re afraid she might hurt herself. Any suggestions for correcting her behavior.

Dogs can be very difficult animals to deal with from time to time, some breeds and types can be especially difficult to train and control. No mater how much time and effort you seem to be putting in, your efforts give no results.

I have only just heard about them and was interested to know if they help to train a dog to walk on a lead properly without pulling or barking. Thanks if you can help.
Well she is just a small dog that I got from a shelter who has never learnt to walk properly. I’ve tried the other harnesses that go over the nose and under the body but they just cause her to have skin irritations so I stopped using them. I’m at a loss to know what to do with her. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well my dog is five years old and in the past few years she’s been barking way too much. She’s a bigger dog with a lower and more powerful bark too so it’s extra loud. I know it isn’t easy to train a dog if they are used to doing something…Is there any way to make her stop barking?

My male beagle and lab are both desexed and are still under a year of age.
How do you successfully train them not to bark at other dogs while on their walk without using shock collars or the like?
Thank you.

Our new neighbors keep their dog penned outside while they work and he barks all day long. I’m going to have to discuss this with them and I’d like to have something helpful to say as well as complain. Thanks.”
