I am looking for a bark collar for our new puggle. We are trying to find one that is an automatic bark collar, but can also be used with a remote for training purposes. I have only found one out there. Does anyone know of any others?

I am getting an american eskimo and I hear they bark A LOT. How can I train my dog not to bark so much? I do not believe in bark collars.

i would like to be able to push a button everytime my dog barks to train him to stop barking, something that will either spray in his face or be enough annoyance for him to learn that everytime he barks, he gets sprayed or shocked.

Over the last 6 months we have been crate training our dog. The crate is the perfect size for him. Just over the last month, he has started barking almost the entire night. He has also recently started to pee a little in the back of the crate. He did fine for so long, but now it seems like a total regression. It is so hard to be happy with a dog that barks all night and pees himself. Please, does anybody have a solution?
The dog is in the other room of the house. The reason being is that allergies have arisen from other members of the household. We do take his water away 2 hours before bed and do puit him out before we go to bed. I let him out at night to pee when he first barks….but as soon as he’s back in, he starts barking again. He’s not in the crate all day, only at night. I really think it’ more of an attention thing.

I have a dog that I adopted from a friend. She is four years old and I do not think she had proper training. She barks when she gets excited, like when I tell her it is time for a walk. She barks and barks and barks and jumps around and it is hard for me to put the leash on her. Do you have any good suggestions to help train her to stop barking when it is time for a W-A-L-K?

I read on my local SPCA website that I could shake a can of pennies or squirt her with a water gun to get her to momentarily stop her from barking then say “good dog” give her a treat. I mean, would that really work?

There can be alot of reasons why a dog would bark almost constantly. Although this may be annoying, there may be some good reasons for the barking. Your Dog could be trying to warn you of a problem or let you know it is in pain.

There are other negative reasons why you dog would be showing this behavior. They could be trying to gain attention or be deliberately acting out.

Ultrasonic collars can be used to stop barking dogs. There is some debate about whether ultrasonic collars are humane. The trouble is we humans can’t hear ultrasonic sound so it’s hard to make a call on whether this is too loud or even painful for a dog. However, they all work on the idea that a loud noise that will startle a dog and cut off the barking.

Humans can’t hear this but dogs can as it’s an annoying, high-pitched sound that is triggered whenever the dog barks.

For collars the sound is set off by the dog wearing the collar; however there have been cases of these being set off by other dogs’ barking, or even other loud noises.
