You should start teaching your dog not to bite even while your dog is a puppy. This is usually being taught by the puppy’s mothers and siblings at fewer than four months old. But nowadays we take our puppy home at a small age and so the training falls to us in full.
In case you have the opportunity to be around a puppy social circle or puppy training school, you will notice that puppy has its mothers and siblings training carried on within their puppy world. It happens naturally, through trial and error what is expected and not tolerated around biting. Help your dog to be more sociable around as many different sociable situations as possible, builds confidence, and you are less likely to have an aggressive or fearful dog that will bite in response to the new situation. Working on socialization has to start before the dog is four months old to get the best results out of it.

I got my golden retriever when he was 8 months old. He had gone through basic training, and he is now 16 months old. I noticed recently when I played with him outside and we’re running around the backyard, he will chase me and when he catches me he will jump on me and start biting at my clothes, often ripping holes in them. Then he proceeds to bite my pants, although I stop him before that gets too extreme. How do I stop him from continuing this behavior?

I’ve had my Pomeranian for about 6 months now, and he’s still a puppy, 9 months old to be exact. So he’s always acting out and having that “puppy behavior”, but I want to train him.
When someone new comes into the house, he jumps all over them until they leave, even if they’re at my house for hours.
When I make him sleep in my room, because he tears ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in the house up, he then tears whatever he can get his mouth around up in my room. And also, he’s never comfortable in my room. When I shut the door and he’s in my room, all he does is sit and the door and whine until I let him out, even if I’m trying to play with him.

How old should she be when she is able to play fetch:
All the toys i have given her she doesent want:
She enjoys eating leaves and grass more than her toys/treats:
I looked for videos how to teach to walk on a leash (NICELY) and how it says stop and wait until the dog looks at you and give her a treat and start walking again… but the problem is she wont stop pulling even for a treat:
im probabaly gonna enroll in some petsmart puppy training classes, cuss the videos made it look so easy but its so much harder when you actually do it, especially with a new puppy:

Okay, my dog keeps on biting me! I watched videos of “Train your Dog to Stop Biting” and they said when your dog bites you. You yelp or say ouch and they will stop. But when i did it to my dog he started to jump on me and started to bite me more. And i said Ouch again and he started to bite me on my legs and thighs. And then i started running back inside my house. Please show me links or advices how to make my dog stop what he’s doing wrong.
I know he thinks im playing with him, BUT IM NOT. he keeps on biting me on my leg mostly.

We have a nine month old miniature pinscher, and I am constantly trying to train her. When I work with her, she seems to be interested and has quickly learned several commands. But my husband doesn’t do anything like that with her, he just wrestles and plays with her, letting her bark, growl, and bite during play. I’ve told him that I don’t want her to think that those things are acceptable, but he says she’s so tiny that it’s nothing to worry about! Guidance?
