Same way his mother would – when he nips, make a sharp noise such as “ouch”, “no”. Immediately take your hand away and then ignore him.
Some “mouthing” is expected when puppies are getting their teeth – but you have to show it is unacceptable to bite humans. Give rubber toys like Kongs to chew on.
Say “no” firmly, and give him a treat when he does it right.
It’s a puppy thing. He’s using his mouth to learn about things. He also doesn’t know the strength of his mouth. Try yelping when he bites you.
well you need to train it and everythime it bites something or whatever just tell it to stop and or also use another word to where it will know to stop and train it.
Put tobasco sauce on your hands..
This is a natural puppy thing. Since they don’t have hands and opposable thumbs, they explore the world with their mouths.
Not that it makes it okay to bite you or any other human. The easiest thing is to keep constant supply of suitable chew toys for him/her. Each time the puppy goes to bite you or something you don’t want chewed (the couch, the laundry, an electrical cord, etc.), give a firm “No!”. Pause for a second, then offer the puppy the chew toy. When s/he takes the toy, praise the heck out of the little rascal. Repeat every time you find him/her chewing something unsuitable. It is a bit frustrating at first due to how often you must do this, but s/he’ll get the picture and it’ll save you a lot of hassle later on.
I raised my dog from the time she was 3 months old and trained her to be my service dog… I can leave her home alone for up to 9 hours at a time and know when I come home, only her ropes and bones will be chewed.
He is a puppy and is going to chew on everything. Get him plenty of chew toys and firmly tell him no! when he bites you.
All puppies bite at first but after a while every time he bites you or anyone else tell him/her bad or something like that and spank him/her a little. That’s what I did to my dog and now she doesn’t bite at all.
