My border collie has so much energy and everyone keeps telling me to put her through agility training. I need some suggestions on how to do this and what I need to use. Thanks

The best way to to train your dog for agility is to go to classes. Find a good training place in your area and register for the next set of classes. Your border collie will enjoy agility a lot! The reason you want to enroll in classes is so that you can approach training the proper way and work on perfecting your skills as handler. The trainers are experts so they will be able to tell you what to work on, how to do things differently, and how to make your dog do better.
It would be best to find a class near you. It is a great way to bond with your dog and get the extra energy out! Try googling agility in your area. Agility is everywhere! Try and find a club near you and then they can point you in the right direction for finding the right trainer. This will help you keep you and your dog safe. Agility is really addicting and a ton of fun! I’ve been to 2 national competitions now and have been training and competing with my own dogs for almost 10 years now! My family also participates in it.
I suggest you go into an Agility training class.
We got our Shih Tzu involved in Agility and she does great it is a really fun sport for you and your dog.
What state do you live in? Because you could tye in the state name you live in then after that put Dog trainer for example ‘ Minnesota Dog Trainers’ or ‘Dog Trainer in MN’
When you are on the website register for the next class the trainer will teach you many new stuff in Agility! They love to see more people come and help them with Agility!
Now if you want to train your dog on your own you will have to buy yourself the equipment a book on how to train them and it is just alot of stress so go with the Agility trainer!
Hope this works!
…and to find local trainers:
go to http://www.cleanrun.com and look in “clubs/trainers”
you can also do a search on the www for agility trainers in your area
even better! go to these websites of agility organizations, look for calendar of events, find a trial locally and go and watch! Very entertaining and you will learn a lot. You can also ask competitors for local trainers!
