I would like to train my female lab (3 years) with a clicker. Where can I buy the clicker and how do I train my dog with it. Thanks!

you can buy a clicker at your local per co. and this is how you train your dog with it
first you have to get your dog to know that when you click she gets a treat. just click it a few times and every time it clicks give her a treat.
then make your dog do tricks and if your dog does them correctly click and give her a treat.
this helps her understand that once she does something she’s told correctly she gets rewarded
you won’t have to carry around the clicker forever because she will soon get the gist of it and won’t need it anymore.
Clicker training is very popular and you can google information like I did. http://www.clickerlessons.com/index.htm
Clickers are at dog stores, but I have a lab too and I personally didn’t like the clicker – I couldn’t seem to get the clicker down as I am not very coordinated.
Anyway, my lab is very food driven and I didn’t even need a clicker after all – just standard verbal commands and hand signals.
