Problem with dogs barking at people entering my house. Need training tips!?

I have two dogs and both bark uncontrollably and aggressively at guests entering my house–to the point I have to put them outside before answering the door. I’m a college student and expecting a baby very soon so the last thing I want is to spend money on a professional dog trainer. Any training tips??

You need control over the dogs. In which case have the dogs sit, and stay, and praise them for being quite. Then when people come over you need to have them sit, stay, and be quite. Or…keep a spray bottle and when they bark you squirt them. I saw the sit and stay thing on that show “Its me or the Dog” with Victoria Stillwell. She would have the dogs go to a desiginated spot, and sit, and stay. When she opened the door if the dog barked then she shut the door and no one got to come in. It took a while but once the dogs did not bark when the people walked in the door they finally got to enter.
