My 8 month old mix pup has aggression towards strangers, we’ve tried clicker training, classical conditioning and many other methods so far nothing has made much of a difference.

With clicker training it is said to be hit or miss — also the dog doesn’t really LEARN the behavior… just does it for performance and the treat…. this true?

I need:
-Regular jumps
-Tunnels
-Rings
-Weave Pole

And anything I forgot. If you have any ideas on how to make them at home, that would be great too.

Could you also tell me how much these should cost?

My friend has a 2 year old GSD. It’s a boy dog and its very strong.
When they go out for walks at night the dog pulls everywhere, especially when it sees a cat, it wants to chase it, it will pull like crazy and if you weren’t ready for his sudden pull he could pull you over and drag you along while he chases the sound or noise. He once even nearly got crashed by a car when they just tied the leash to his collar and just got out the gate, he just leapt over and did a sudden pull!
If this keeps happening their dog will die because… It might get crashed by the car…
Any suggestions on how to solve the pulling problem as well as cat chasing/bird chasing/leaf chasing.
It gets very annoying trying to stop him, they just say sternly, “No.” and they pull him away.
They have tried one of those head leashes when the dog wears something around the muzzle so you can control the head, but the dog refuses to wear it.

We just adopted 2 adult dogs, and they have had no training. We were trying to teach them the standard way, and then I read about clicker training. I have been doing this for 2 days, and I have already “loaded the clicker.” Once they see the clicker their eyes are glued to me, which right now I am trying to teach them to pay attention to me (I call their name, and when they look I C/T.) It seems hard because when they see the clicker – even if I hide it behind my back, they will not look away for me to test them by calling their name. I still C/T since they are behaving. I guess I am having trouble incorporating sit, stay, and the other behaviors. Does anyone have experiance with this type of training? Do only use the clicker for 5-10 min each training session?

How can I clicker train my dog to get chickens off of a porch without motivating it to chase them or bite them.

I just got a 5 month old yellow lab. She is great except I don’t feel I am making progress potty training her. She doesn’t bark so I do not know how to get it to let me know it has to go to the bathroom. Can anyone give me tips?

We’ve had a lot of dogs in my family. We’re about to get a new one. We’ve never been able to train our dog to walk without a lead, mainly because we’ve never trusted the dog to stay with us, so we haven’t had the courage to walk wihtout one. How do people generally train dogs to walk obediently?

and, is reading words possible for dogs?( the type of thing when you put some words on the floor and they tell you what word is what)
If not, is letting them tell which ITEM is which possible?
