I want to begin training my dog for agility but I do not know of any places near me. Does anyone know of some agility training places near Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland?

Puppy is 6 weeks old but I demanded the puppy to remain with his mother and littermates until 8 weeks old.
My boyfriends daughter wanted a puppy so my boyfriend said it could live at his house. The daughter chooses not to come over every weekend – my boyfriend and I take care of the dog.
The ex-wife said she would like to come over once a week and pick up the dog, take it to obedience training with the daughter…then bring it back to my boyfriends house the same evening.
The ex-wife does’nt allow the dog in her house – so why pay for the training if the daughter can’t handle the dog on a consistant basis? My boyfriend and I would take care of the dog.
Why pay for training if the dog is not even gonna live at her house?
Obedience training only works if it is continually re-inforced – if the daughter isn’t there to work with the dog why bother with the training-
The X is controlling and manipulative, and has often come to my boyfriends house or called him and told him what is to be done in HIS household.
I’m thinking she’s just wanting to control what goes on in his house- again.

If you observe any group of dogs that are happy to be in each others company, you will find one or two dogs that will try and lick the mouth of another dog. This is simply an inherited trait and is totally natural, but when the pup relates this to his human pack members, it needs to be brought under control and this can be achieved through dog obedience training.
A puppy jumps up for one simple reason. To lick your face. Face licking is a puppy’s way of showing it is subservient to you. You are seen as a part of the pups pack and you hold a position higher in the pecking order.
I have problems now that I would like to address with my 15 week old dobe pup. He is smart, sweet and I am sure trainable. I can’t afford to take him to training twice. He walks well on a leash already.
