If you are a dog lover, you will certainly love puppies very much. Well, when a new dog owner first adopts a puppy, one of the biggest mistakes that he can possibly make is to think that bringing up a puppy is an easy task.
Well, certainly not. Regardless of the kind of dog you have, it is always a good idea to start training them as soon as possible. The most ideal case is to train the dogs when they are still young.

You don’t want to be dragged behind by your dog which is not trained on a leash? In such a situation, you are a poor helpless owner. Dog leash training for your German shepherd should be learned by dog owners for them to enjoy walking.
Ounces of prevention are made when you put him on a leash, even for his lifetime. You expose him to possible accidents if you leave him bounding about on the streets. He can easily injure himself in your own vicinity when he is left alone. He could fall ill if he ingests rotting garbage from anywhere. Other animals, insects or reptiles that may inhabit your vegetation and trees can bite and injure him. Certainly, you won’t have him trampling on flower beds and soiling property of your neighbors.

One key aspect of training any dog which a lot of people will not take into account is dog leash training. This singular, essential component to your dogs training is so significant because if you can make sure you successfully obtain your dogs undivided attention whilst outside where ther are lots of distractions, then training your dog at home will be so much easier.
For your dog to walk as desired will take some time, I’ll pull no punches here, now that the rant is over you’ll be glad to hear that you will get a chance every single day of the year to keep applying your leash training because you have to walk your dog everyday. When you collect your dogs leash and he hears the sound of the chain rattle your dog will become a crazed manic and he will have a look of glee across his panting face. Most dog keepers make the school boy error and they get their dog all agitated.

Question by Sarah: Any suggestions on a good book about training a dog to come off leash?
I’m trying hard to teach my dog to be an off-leash dog. She has been very good! But we need to work on her distractions. She doesn’t have any distractions that are so severe that I cannot call her off of them. She can occasionally be called off a squirrel, so I know it is definitely possible to have her as an off leash dog.
Any suggestions on books that deal with training a dog to behave off leash?
