Really need help, any suggestions for a camp? I have tried everything else, a camp is needed to help her with repetition since we are gone at work.
i have a 3 year old dog and he makes my house his bathroom, can I still train him how to pee and poop outside my house. Is there any good book that you can recommend?
My one year old Sheltie always soils at home. I do take him out, he tries to run away home. He is also street-scared, when he was 6 months old, my dad took him out and the skateboard scared the dookie out of him

What is the first and probably the biggest problem that most dog owners encounter? A dogs potty training. How are you supposed to go about doing this type of training properly? First, don’t learn by trial and error, there are methods that will work. In fact there are a lot of different opinions about the best way to accomplish this project, but there are some general techniques that will help you.
Dogs learn by being corrected for undesirable behavior and rewarded for desirable behavior. This technique can be used in a dogs potty training just as it is in training other behaviors. As you work with your dog consistently, the dog will learn the desired behavior. What a relief it will be when your dog is potty trained, whether you are training your dog to go outside or at a designated area inside.
Most dogs live indoors now and a dogs potty training is necessary. This training can occur at any age, but the amount of time that it might take varies with the age of the puppy or dog. For example, a puppy that you acquire at six weeks old could take a number of weeks to housebreak, one that is three months old should take less time and one that is six months old might learn in just a few days. Whatever age your puppy/dog is, don’t forget that it is the owner’s duty to teach not to condemn. A failure in a dogs potty training is most likely the owner’s fault.
It is best for one person in the household to be responsible for the dogs potty training because people could get confused as to whose job it is at what time. This is not a spare time job, you must monitor the puppy/dog continually. Prevention is the best cure when tackling your dogs potty training. Observe effectively and note an anticipative look or running to the door and scratching at it. This might be the time to take the dog/puppy outside.

That means that when you are potty training your dog you cant skip steps. You have to keep in mind that a dog thinks a certain way, and it isn’t the same way that you and I think or learn.
The first step to take when trying to solve dog potty traning problems is understanding your dog. If your dog is actually a puppy, keep in mind that they have a limited amount of space in their bladder. Puppies are going to pee and poop on your floor, there is no way around it. Full grown dogs, on the other hand, can hold their waste a bit longer.
I recently adopted an adult dog from the animal shelter and she is NOT potty trained. My other two dogs are, and I’ve trained several puppies, but this is the first time I’ve gotten an adult dog that obviously has never been indoors. I’m asking for help, not suggestions to take her to a trainer. I’m trying to do this myself. Thanks 
btw.. she’s a Great Dane.. so potty pads aren’t really an option.. she’d over flow them 
Dog Potty Training older dogs is more likely difficult than training a 6 month old puppy. I have a first hand experience on this, trust me. I have no idea before that I could train a dog to pee or poop to a location or spot where I would want him to. I got myself a regular male breed shih tzu two years ago and I named him Bruno. Bruno was a very cute little pup when I bought him and without any hesitation brought him home and took good care of him like he’s my own child. I used to clean Bruno’s mess for couple of months because that’s the way i pamper him, just like a baby. Until I can no longer stand the stench of his dirt. My house was like my dog’s bathroom.
