Dog Obedience Training – How to Cure Dog Mounting Problems
Why you dog or puppy may start mounting…
Some dogs and Puppies start exhibing this behavior when they play. They would have started mounting with their litter mates during playful situations and this behavior may continue especially after you have started play-time as this may stimulate over sexual behavior.
Some dogs and puppies start mounting as way of showing that they are the dominant and ‘Alpha Male’ or pack leader. In the wild the ‘Alpha Male’ is allowed to mount whichever female that takes his fancy and this has been passed down in today’s dogs genes – so your dog or puppy is mounting as way of stating that he or she is the alpha male.
Mounting is relatively common in dogs that are going through puberty and they start exhibiting this behavior in resonse to a surge in their testoterone levels.

Dog training in the form of basic obedience is the foundation of problem solving for your dog. In order for your dog to have a safe, happy, and productive life he must first learn to sit, stay, and come when he is called. Dog training will help him learn to refrain from bad habits such as incessant barking, biting, chewing, fighting, and using the bathroom indoors.
The two most common misconceptions about dog training are the dominance issue and the dog’s age. It is not necessary for you to be the ‘alpha dog’ in order to teach basic cooperation and respect. This is done through kindness and support rather than through fear.

Dogs are not easy to train. You will have to dedicate time and effort in order t train the dog. Remember that dog training is better when done by professionals. But if you really want to train your dog at home, you will have to make sure that you have learned a few things before beginning.
One you have learned enough to begin, you can start with curing the basic problems. All the dogs have some common issues which you will have to solve. If your dog barks a lot, you will be in trouble. You will have to cure dog barking to start with. You will keep on doing the other things like the dog social training and dog obedience training along with all this.

Please help! I have a 4 month old french bulldog who I love so much and he has already learned “sit” and “shake a paw”…so I know he is a smart dog but potty training has not improved at all. I have had him for 2 months now.
I just cant figure out his schedule. I feed him around 7am-8am every morning and then 10-15 mins later, I take him out but he doesnt poop. The reason for this i think is because when I wake up he has already pooped in my dining room. Do I have to wake up in the middle of the night and take him out? When will he learn to hold it all night?
The good thing is that Im not working at the moment so I have lots of time to train my dog and I am willing to put in the time and effort it takes, I just dont think I know what I’m doing because this is my first dog.
I also feed him again around 5pm and then take him out again. Usually the afternoon walk is successful and I always reward with a treat and praise him.
I have read online a lot about training. And I know that if you dont catch your dog in the act of it, then you shouldnt punish him. So what do I do about night time? I cant stay up all night waiting to catch him!

Whoever says potty training a dog is easy is either lucky or they know what they are doing. The problem is your dog is very young at only three months old and she needs to toilet every few hours. Even after three months you might not be successful in your efforts to train her.
Even though you have done all the right things, such as crate train your dog, put the dog outside after a nap, teach her toilet training outside, and maybe tried other things as well, but still it is not working.

As much as we love dogs, there are times when they can really drive us crazy. Usually this is simply because there are some behavior problems such as barking, begging, and destructiveness. For many, life would be perfect if their dog would curb their behavior problems and really start behaving most of the time. Unfortunately, a dog will never curb his own behaviors and it is up to the owner to take some time for dog obedience training.
Surprisingly, it can be very easy to solve a dog behavior problem with training and in many cases the training should be started with the owner. Thatâs right, I said it. Usually, when a dog has behavior problems, it has nothing to do with the dog obedience training that the owner took part in. What it does have to do with is whether the owner made some of the common mistakes when they were training their dog. One of the biggest mistakes that many owners make when it comes to dog obedience training is that they stop training once their dog reaches a certain level. While the dog is trained, they will quickly forget or ignore commands that are not used on a regular basis.

Have an 8 week old pitbull…..just got his leash and collar yesterday. At first, he wouldn’t even walk with the damn thing on – lol stubborn ass would just not move. But anyway, he moves freely now, a little hesitant some times, but its only the second day.
My problem is, when he does start walking, he always cuts me off!!! Its the most annoying thing ever. He just doesn’t walk in a straight line, he just walks on the side of me, and cuts my feet off. I have to extend my arm with the leash just so he doesn’t cut me off. But that makes walking more difficult.
