Puppy potty training is a full-time job…
The good news is it only lasts for a few weeks and has great benefits!
In exchange for your time, energy, and attention you can have a perfectly house trained dog for 10+ years.
…It doesn’t get any better than that.

I have an Afghan Hound, 20 months, extremely smart, but strong willed. I’ve been told that the clicker might work. Can a novice use this method?

My male beagle and lab are both desexed and are still under a year of age.
How do you successfully train them not to bark at other dogs while on their walk without using shock collars or the like?
Thank you.

Is it worth the money? I mean they’re offering an 8-week program for $109.00 to teach your dog how to control his barking, attitude, his overall behavior, potty training, how to sit, stand, shut-up, etc.
Have you ever done one of these? Thanks.

Whenever I think about techniques on clicker training for puppies, I can’t help but feel misty-eyed…
See, about 10 years ago my father was on his way to the pet store to pick up a clicker when he lost of control of his car and careered into the path of a truck.
See, my father enjoyed training his dogs with a clicker. So it upsets me whenever I hear people say that clickers are only good for making a dog perform parlor tricks. I beg to differ!

I am not very interested in obedience, but I love to do agility, flyball and especially trick training. Without the obedience classes, would a dog training center still be feasible? Would you go?
Our flyball “club” does charge for introduction training as it takes away alot of training time from the active canine members.
I was planning on a dog daycare, with classes in the evening. The dog daycare is feasible where I live, the classes would be fun.

I’m referring to this post from earlier today:

I agree, it’s extremely dangerous to have this dog near a toddler because it’s bitten. Many answered to “get rid of the dog.”

And how old should they be before starting to teach them how to do agility?

If so, how has it worked for you? I would like to start using this for my dogs but I’ve never seen it done. If anyone has any information or success stories, tips, etc. I would greatly appreciate it.

i had never heard of this before, so i was just curious. once you use a clicker, do you always have to use it? can you only use this method on puppies, or does it work for older dogs? thanks in advance.
