I would like to be able to discourage barking when I am not home but also use the collar to discourage certain behavior when I am home.

My dog is a Australian shepherd mixed boarder collie and hes 3 or 4 years old.

I have never had a biting dog before. I have always heard that once a dog bites it won’t stop. It breaks my heart that I might have to put him down. Is there any training procedure that can be used to stop biting?
He has not been neutered and I should have included that in my question. Would neutering make a difference?

I’ve trained many large dogs on leash. I use positive reinforcement with dog treats and never keep them on task longer than 10 minutes at a time. I know Boxers have sensitive tracheae and not to use a choker, and that they burn. Anything else?

The problem is, this apartment does allow loud dogs =| …I’ve had my dog for 12 years, she is a chihuahua…And i cant give her up…

She barks at everything from storms to kids playing outside. I was thinking maybe a dog training school but at her age, i dont know if that would work??

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)
