I feel nuts! I have been training new dogs for years to walk well on a leash with much sucess. This one. I would like to murder( not really), but walking him is a nightmare!
He just discovered squirells as well. I own pretty much every training device. Harnesses, chokes, prongs, gentle leaders. He is really stubborn. Its like his mind is off

He is a 1yr old lab. he was pulling terribly on leash. i got him a head collar. it works great. i don’t use the head collar, he still pulls but not a bad as before. What other training methods can i use so he wont pull? to be honest im not too concerned with him walking at my side at the moment, just the pulling. unless of course the way to training is walking by my side so he wont pull. ALL advice welcome!

My friend has a small terrier that has a habit of pulling when on a leash and trying to go after people and bark at other dogs. She has a pinch collar and it hurts the dog and she yelps when it is used on her. What is a good training aide to help teach her to walk properly on a leash. I suggested a Halti but does anyone have any other suggestions?

my dog use to be able to walk on a leash but ever since i’ve been bringing him to the park and letting him walk around freely, he seems to be trying to drag me now when he’s on the leash and he chokes a lot. i want to be able to walk him on a short leash so he would be able to walk through busy areas. any tips?

Please tell me tricks to teach a dog quickly to walk properly on a leash. He is male, neutered, 9 months old. I found him abandoned and look a home for him, a lady is interested but she is not young and she needs him to be calm when she walks him. Any tips?
The lady is definitely the type that spoils a dog and lets it become dominant, so I need to train him before giving it away.
He is comfortable on a leash, but he is very active and wants to run around when we get out.

We’ve had a lot of dogs in my family. We’re about to get a new one. We’ve never been able to train our dog to walk without a lead, mainly because we’ve never trusted the dog to stay with us, so we haven’t had the courage to walk wihtout one. How do people generally train dogs to walk obediently?

He’s on a 60 inch lease when I walk him. Is he suppose to have his head right beside me, or his legs beside me? Thanks

My two year old lab walks perfectly on the leash when I walk her alone. But whenever we walk with other people or dogs she gets overly excited and pulls, lunges, etc. What can I do to get her to walk calmly by my side as she usually does?
