I only wish I had had these leashes when I was training my large German Shepard for the leash.  She was quite difficult to train.  Oftentimes, out of nowhere, while running with her, she would take off to the left or behind me after a rabbit or other varmint.  The shock when she hit the end of the leash was quite substantial.  Many times, I almost lost control of her.  It could have been very dangerous, as there was traffic around at the time.

my dog is mentally afraid of leashes and collars.you can’t even get 5 feet from him with a collar. i’ve tried but i can not succeed. he’s 2 tho and when he was really young ( about 9 months to a year) i tried to train him. and when i did get a collar and leash on he jerks himself the opposite way and it chokes him.any suggestions? take him to my local pet smart and the training classes? ask the vet for tips?

when i put the leash on him he’s fine he will walk aroun with it and all but when i pick up the leash and try walking him he fights and bites the leash. he’s a how and i know they are stubburn but i didn’t have this problem with my last chow

My male beagle and lab are both desexed and are still under a year of age.

How do you successfully train them not to bark at other dogs while on their walk without using shock collars or the like?

I was looking on how to train a dog to walk NICELY on a leash, without using choke collars or gentle leaders.

And what is the time frame to expect this to be done in?
I am walking OTHER PEOPLES dogs, and dont usually have the ability to buy and put on training enhancers while walking. Plus, I can only do this with their permission. Its a wide range of dogs from small little guys to weigh more than me girls.

I have my own dog, a young lab, which I use the gentle leader on, but I am not going to be having that be a community thing.

I’ve heard some people can do it, but with tons of training. My dog is a golden retriever (or labrador), mixed with a chow. She was abused when she was a puppy, and she just adores us. she wasn’t afraid of us from the start. Also before, without a leash thing, how do i train her not to bark at other dogs?

My dog is fine when walking with a collar. But when the collar comes off, he runs wild. He always likes to play chase in the yard. How do you train him off leash?

how do you train a big dog for example OES, to walk good on a leash. i know how with little dogs but a big one is well stronger. how do you go about it? thanks
